COUIN – “We want to be less aggressive towards the plants, the environment, and ourselves,” says farmer Benoit Ambeza, who grows beets in the French commune Couin.
For two years, he has chosen to use scents developed by a laboratory in Rennes that repel crop pests, thereby delaying “any necessary treatment with phytopharmaceutical products as much as possible”.
